This fund honors Pepper's legacy of compassion, her creative spirit, and her strong desire to support her community

​​Program Overview

​

Grants offered up to $1,500 USD

Program is intended for residents of New Orleans, Louisiana

Priority will be given to artists in the making

This is a needs-based grant so you may be asked to provide support

Up to 3 grants will be awarded monthly

  How This Works

TIMING

Submit by the last day of a month to be considered in the next month's grant award cycle.  For example:

  • Submit by May 31 to be considered in the June grant  

  • By mid June, you will learn of our funding decisions  

  • Orders will be placed for your approved supplies with the goal of items being shipped to you within a few weeks.  (It's hard to give exact timing for this step so all shipping details will be provided to recipients).

YOU WILL PROVIDE

  • Your full legal name and preferred nickname

  • A means to contact you (cell phone and email address)

  • A description of your art - please include social media links or link to a portfolio to show us your craft

  • A wish list of your desired supplies with their estimated costs.  Include specific brand names that supply your requested items if this is important to you, so we can try to get exactly what you want. 

  • A total estimated dollar amount for all of your desired supplies (up to $1,500 USD)

  • A write-up articulating how this grant could help you advance your craft. This writeup is critical to help us understand the need and potential impact of receiving this grant.  Be sincere and thorough -- this will help us make our decisions.

WE WILL

  • Aim to review all applications within 4 weeks of submission

  • Notify all applicants by email with our funding decision (all decisions are final)

  • May contact a candidate to ask clarifying questions.  This will be via email or a video call.  Please be thorough on your application or this could delay our review.

IF FUNDED​

  • Funding will be used to purchase requested items on your behalf and ship the items to an address you provide.

  • Funding will not directly be provided to approved grant recipients.

  • Grant recipients will be asked to follow-up so stories of their progress can be shared on social media to inspire others.

IF NOT FUNDED

  • You can resubmit up to two more times if you want to try again. 

  • Keep working on your craft.  Your art matters!
